We will come and pick you up at your accomodation place at 8am.

You will drive through the plains of Marrakech by the tarred road. Vast landscapes planted with olive trees extend infinitely with here and there villages, sheep or goat herds.

These waterfalls (110 meters high), situated in the middle of a surprisingly green area, are amazing in a country that is often hard-hit by drought. You are now in the Middle Atlas, more than 140 km away from Marrakech. The road is long, dusty and meanders throughout a hilly landscape. The earth is brick-red, saturated by iron oxide and contrasts with the green carpet of thousands of olive trees planted on the plateau. Olive tree is translated into “ouzoud” in the local language, thus the name of these waterfalls…

You will discover the waterfalls from the top. To fully enjoy the panorama, it is recommended to take the small path on the left to arrive on the first level. From there, the view is just stunning! There is not only one but six streams crowned with a double rainbow thundering down the rocks in a cloud of droplets. The canvasses of this circus are covered with a green vegetation and sparkling moss under the sun. You can catch a glimpse of the plunge pool around 100 meters below. If you are lucky and if it is the morning, you can also see macaque monkeys that live in their natural habitat.

It is possible to continue the trek down to the bottom of the waterfall taking a number of stone steps.

The visit can also be continued by taking a loop following the wadi course. (Although it is preferable to get a guide to bring you by some small caves).

Allow around three hours for this walk.

The typical Moroccan lunch, a delicious tajine, can be taken in the shade of the olive trees or in a smarter restaurant. A picnic bought on the road it's possible too to taste at the top of the waterfalls...

You go back to Marrakech about 6pm.
