DAY-1: Marrakech-Dades gorges
We come and pick you up around 8am in your accomodation place. You cross the Hight Atlas by the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2,260 meters high). The landscape is very beautiful and you see hardly the villages in steps of the color of the moutain.Then, you go to Ouarzazate where a break is planned for visiting. After the lunch, we drive to the Dades valley. You follow a beautiful trail as far as Bou Tharar in the surroundings of the Rose Valley. Continuation finally to the Dades gorges by the tarred road, in middle of cultivations and little orchards. You arrive at the head of the gorges in a welcoming inn run by berbers. Dinner and bed.
DAY-2: Dades gorges-Merzouga
After having breakfast, departure toward Erfoud via Tinejad. If you want it, you visit the Todra gorges which will be on the way. Splendid and impressive place was used as natural decoration for many films. Crossing of Tineghir with its nice palm plantation (possible stop). Lunch on the road and after crossing Erfoud in the heart of the Tafilalet famous for its fossils , you reach the area of Merzouga through a succession of ksour (fortified villages), oasis and palm plantations. Stop in Rissani in a beautiful kasbah (especially in the summer). You can take advantage of the swimming poll before the departure to the desert. You go to the bivouac in the late afternoon by 4x4 in the surroundings of the erg Chebbi dunes. Mini-trek in dromedary (about one hour-half past one), before the sunset (or in the sunrise, if you prefer...). Dinner and bed in the desert under nomad tent or under the stars. Evening around the fire of the sound of the traditional songs and the “derboukas”.
*During the cold months (from December to March), you can go right in the middle of the foot of the golden dunes of erg chebbbi, in an inn with an authentic berber hospitality in a cordial family climate. Trek in dromedary in the sunset or in the sunrise.
DAY-3: Merzouga-Draa valley-Ouarzazate
Early morning departure to admire the sunrise, if you wish it of course. Breakfast in the desert with a possible shower. Then departure toward Ouarzazate across the vast mineral Bougafer massif to reach Alnif then Tazzarine, N'Kob and Tansikht. You go up the course of the Draa wadi bordered of palm trees and pink bay-trees sprinkling a string of oasis and irrigating the long valley of more than 200 km. Break for having lunch in Tamnougalt palm grove close to Agdez village which marks the limit of the Eastern buttress of the Anti Atlas. Then we drive toward Ouarzazate crossing the mountain via Tizi-n-Tinififft (1,660m). The surroundings of Ouarzazate is populated by Berbers who became sedentary, in spite of the very hard climatic conditions oscillating between the hot weather and periods of dry cold. Arrived in Ouarzazate, you reach a friendly guest house for the dinner and bed.
DAY-4: Ouarzazate-Aït Ben Haddou-Telouet-Marrakech
After the breakfast, visit of the Aït Ben Haddou village at your time. This village is a Unesco world Heritage site.Then, direction Marrakech via the beautiful Ounila Valley following the previous caravan trail just recently renovated which used to exchange the products coming from sub-sahara Africa with Marrakech. Lunch at Telouet. Possible visit of the kasbah before going back to Marrakech through out the Hight Atlas.
