Departure at 9am from your accomodation place, you will first drive on the tarred road to leave the plains of Marrakech. Small villages follow each other in between a vast landscape planted with olive trees, separated by a natural border made of prickly pear cactuses.

A small loop by the dam, then heading to the immense Kik plateau, with landscapes as far as the eye can see and a few hard crossings and you arrive at Asni, a little berber village and Moulay Brahim. The sight on the snowy summits of the High Atlas during winter is very beautiful.

The altitude is around 1,800m. Then you will drive down the Ourika valley. Depending on the season, the meadows are filled with poppies making them look like the wonderful impressionist paintings. You will stop close to the wadi bank. The meal is taken in a small typical restaurant where you will taste a real tajine dish or have a feast over delicious skewers or grilled meat cooked right in front of you or in a restaurant whith moroccan good food, near waterfalls. It will be the occasion to go and admire the splendid Setti Fatma waterfalls, a bit of a tough walk nonetheless accessible with a guide who could be to you advised by the driver with a reasonable price.

There will also be time for a nice rest and relaxation enjoying the coolness of the wadi.

You will finally start the drive back by the tarred road...
